Michael Woods tells Justin Bieber to "f**k off," ADE ramps up, and Skrillex joins Above & Beyond live

It was a busy weekend in the world of dance music, and it looks like the week is only set to get busier. Biggest news? Michael Woods gives Justin Bieber a big “f**k off” in the DJ booth for making a song request—and a fight reportedly ensues. Maybe if he’d just offered Woods $200,000?

- Michael Woods, it would appear, cannot be swayed by DJ requests, even if they come from Justin Bieber (hey—fair enough). Granted there was no money spoken of in the exchange, but when Bieber asked Woods to play some hip-hop tracks, Woods told him to “fuck off” and leave the booth. According to Woods, there was also a punch thrown by Bieber in the direction of Woods’ tour manager. (full story)

- Skrillex shreds! That’s right—the artist formerly known as From First to Last frontman Sonny Moore sat in on guitar with Above & Beyond the other night at their LA show for an acoustic rendition of their song “Black Room Boy.”

- Deadmau5, who wittily apologized to Woods for the actions of his fellow Canadian Bieber, has inked a deal with Astralwerks to distribute his mau5trap Recordings label and his own artist releases. The mau5trap compilation We Are Friends Vol. 2 lands on November 12.

- The Amsterdam Dance Event is just taking shape right now for a week of industry work and play. If you’re going, here are some lesser-known spots to hit up. (full story)

- Fittingly, Vibe has assembled a pre-ADE playlist of Dutch artists you should have on rotation in the leadup, featuring Tom Trago, Joris Voorn, and plenty more. Check it. (full story)

- And, just in case you get hungry while making the party and conference rounds, DJ Sneak, Seth Troxler, Ali Schwarz, and more are set to square off in a cook-off. (full story)

- And lastly, is a Random Access Memories deluxe box set on the way? (full story)
