Three days of electronic music enchantment

The 11th edition of Switzerland’s Caprices Festival will see big developments for the electronic artists involved. For the very first time the electronic music program will be presented across it’s own weekend in the magical mountain location.

The first weekend of the 11th Caprices Festival will be entirely dedicated to electronic music. A stunning line up of popular headliners and future talents places Caprices amongst the best European electronic music festivals. Representatives from the world’s finest DJs and electronic producers take to the stages at the moon, modernity and various satellite clubs to showcase the full range of techno.

Opening the clubbing festivities on Friday 11th April, the moon will showcase techno dons Richie Hawtin and Marco Carola, a live project by Gaiser,as well as an electric live performance by France’s unforgettable doP. On Saturday 12th April, the program will highlight electronic music essentials including a performance by techno pioneer Jeff Mills, British legend Carl Cox, breakthrough sensation Gesaffelstein and Simon Delacroix under the alias of The Toxic Avenger.

modernity@caprices
To round off the weekend’s immersive clubbing experience, the modernity@Caprices tradition comes back on friday afternoon from 12:00 to 19:00, this time on the mountain terrace of Violettes (2,200 meters). The event maintains a scenic mountain perch and unforgetable allure for electronic music aficionados. Daytime club-goers will be treated to sets from Richie hawtin, Loco Dice, Benoit & Sergio on 11th April. On 12th April, the decks pass to Ricardo Villalobos, Magda, tiNi and Masaya. Throughout the electronic weekend the legendary concept of “Rock the Blocks” will make its comeback to the Caprices festival with a unique twist: big names in intimate clubs. Three clubs in the village of Crans-montana (le Pacha, l’Xellent, le monk’is) will embody the spirit of “Rock the Blocks” on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th April, from 23:00 to 5:00. These satellite clubs will be programmed with high-quality line-ups and entrance will be free to those older than 18. The events will serve as the perfect occasion for clubbers to attend sets from renowned DJs in intimate settings (200-300 person capacity) with fantastic sound systems. Such conditions make for the perfect storm, creating a danceable and festive vibe that will last until the break of dawn. Programmed for friday, April 11: Ripperton, Guillaume Coutu-dumont, Kalabrese, San Marco, Don Ramon, Argenis Brito, Speedrax, Feadz and Boston Bun. Saturday April 12 will showcase: Djerry C, Lucas Moneme, Argenis Brito, Franky and Dandy Jack, Eddie Fowlkes and Rare Movement, to name just a few.
